Last Night

Last night, Claire Danes and Jared Leto were photographed together at the Elle Fashion Awards in London for the first time since 1995. Let’s just say we are trying to hold our tongues about both of them these days. OK, a few things. Playing Angela Chase and Jordan Catalano was the best thing these two ever did. But you can’t always stay gold, Pony Boy.

Jared, 38, now has an emo band, a mohawk, a dwindling film career, and counts Lindsay Lohan as an ex. Claire, 30, had me — especially after Baz Lurhman’s Romeo and Juliet, but hasn’t done anything great since Shop Girl (2005), is sporting a new Madonna-English accent (her husband is English actor Hugh Dancy) and totally lost me when she and Billy Crudup cheated on a pregnant Mary Louise Parker. Suffice to say, I loved them both a lot more as innocent outcasts crushing on each other in the corridors.

i remember screaming so loudly when jordan grabbed angela’s hand in front of the whole school to see that my mom came down to the playroom to see what had happened. i really took the billy crudup thing personally.
I swear you always confuse those stories. MY DAD came and rushed down into OUR den. No? Or did it happen simultaneously in Virginia and CT. The screams heard round the world (in teenage basements).
the fricken boiler room episode. “you have a twig, like, in your hair” major adolescent turning point in my life. kinda sucks for them that they peaked as teenagers.
