Recently, I spent a relaxing weekend at the mall with two of my favorite people. (Living in NYC, the easily-navigated suburban mall is a nostalgic luxury.) But there was one hiccup in our otherwise restoring girl weekend– while browsing a makeup store, I made the grisly discovery these two gals didn’t have– or even think they needed– a go-to concealer. Un. Acceptable. After we tested a few, they were kicking themselves. They felt like flawless beauty queens. (And they are, but now they’re even more flawless!) In their honor, here are my TOP 3 CONCEALERS. This shortlist is for all the girls out there who, when they wake up feeling a little busted, find themselves over-doing their powder and foundations instead of a feather-light but effective concealer. May your dark circles, your gross adult zits, and/or your new weird lines along your the crevice of your nose never see the light of day again– and at the same time, may no one see your makeup!
Meg loves this one. It’s Exuviance’s Multi-Function Concealer. Trust worthy lil guy. You can pick it up at Glow. Simple, to the point, and works every time.
From Pixi, our favorite affordable makeup line which is also avail at Target, and who doesn’t love anything available at Target. This one’s a little different, in a good way. It’s actually a tinted moisturizer with a matching concealer in the top. It’s very portable, very user-friendly. Multi-purpose, acts as a moisturizer, sunscreen (SPF 20), and luminizer. Currently, this Illuminating Tint & Conceal is my fave Pixi product. Also, stay tuned for a Blush/Pixi Beauty giveaway this month, by the way.
Benefit Erase Paste. A great go to. Like the Pixi product, it’s also an illuminator. Let me clear one thing up– most people say, “um, I dont want my zits ILLUMINATED,” and no, no one wants their dark circles spotlighted like they’re on Broadway, but somehow these awesome products do the opposite. They brighten you up — like you had 3 extra hours of sleep– while concealing your issue-spots. Erase Paste is a fun product to play with, it comes with a little spoon-like device that can get in those trickier areas (although, a great concealer brush is prolly better).
That’s it! I hope this helped! Do yourselves a favor and cover up!

it’s like i’m jennifer aniston and the erase paste is the speculation around my love life – it just keeps creeping up on me. but you’ve finally convinced me to give it a shot!
I totally approve your comment. GO FOR IT!
