When I come to New York, there’s always so much to do and part of it is grooming. Between meetings I’ve managed to fit in a peel with Dr. Gross, the genius behind MD Skincare and a hair blowout at Butterfly Studio on Fifth Ave.
If you haven’t tried MD Skincare’s daily peel, you need to change that asap. I know one woman has a fairly basic skincare routine, plus she uses the peel every other day and her skin is absolutely amazing. (She looks poreless and wrinkle-free and she’s nearing 50.) So if you aren’t able to pay a visit to Dr. Gross’s office in NYC, at least you can indulge in his amazing peels. If my recommendation doesn’t sell you, the fact that MANY of the city’s socialites sneak into his office for injections and peels should help.
Following a hot chocolate at City Bakery (OMG), I headed to Butterfly (which happens to be amongst my favorite stretch of stores in the city). I meet with Vanessa, a genius with hair. She gave me full, soft waves and I requested lots of hairspray since it’s rainy out. She achieved the waves with the Enzo Milani clipless curling iron, which really is an amazing tool and gives the best waves. “The key is to hold the ends of the hair tight while you curl,” Vanessa said. Luckily they teach courses on using this kind of iron and how to style your hair.
Next stop now that I’m glammed: a party for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, which is filming today. More on that later!

I wish I was in NYC!! Meanwhile, since I can’t be, I appreciate the recommendation of what I can try at home, thanks!
You failed to mention how great of a guy Dr. Gross is! He really cares about his patients and it comes across in his products, which I love!
I wish you had a picture of your hair – would love to see it!
I’ve never heard of a clipless curling iron – how cool is that?! And the peel sounds INCREDIBLE – might need to add that to my ‘pre-wedding beauty routine’ for an extra glow?? Hmmm…. Sorry to hear it’s raining in NYC, though – ugh!! I won’t tell you what the weather is like here in LA, then.
