Hello! Today’s very exciting for me, because it marks the beginning of the Blush 4 part series called “Feng Shui for Spring” with the amazing feng shui master and life coach Ariel Joseph Towne. Last fall, as I was just entering a totally new, unexpected shift in my life, I had the amazing opportunity to attend a class with Ariel, and it truly was life changing for me. He was innovative, kind, peaceful, and truly understood what I was going through. He’s a relief just to be around! What’s it like to watch people’s lives change for the better and know you helped?
Watching people thrive, feel empowered and feel more comfortable in their homes is as big of a joy as you could imagine. Seeing people use the principles of feng shui to grow their business, get preganant, save their homes from bankruptcy and heal from old heartbreak and manifest new love happens on a daily basis. It is truly remarkable to witness.
I don’t want anyone to believe me. I want them to prove it to themselves. Or not. There are many paths to success. Being aware of their environment (inner and outer) and setting themselves up for success is one way in.
Can you give examples of how it’s changed lives? Including yours?
I am more aware of my environment than I ever have been. I have thought about parts of my life that I never considered putting thought into before. And I have seen the cause and effect of how our environment affects us for over a decade. I feel more aware, more empowered and I feel more magical. Things just seem to work out for me.
I certainly have challenges in life, like anyone. But I feel empowered to work through them and I can feel a deeper process at work in my life as I have never had before.
I also feel as though every culture on earth has its examples of feng shui principles. They are universal. And becoming aware of them seems to be the first step to change.
As far as what I have seen for others, I have worked literally with hundreds of people across the country and, more recently internationally as well. I have worked with single moms and starving artists to CEO’s and high profile celebrities. I have witnessed people express what they experienced as a miracle, and I have noticed some people dip their toe in the water and experience smaller more focused changes for their lives.Whether someone is working on their home or business, feng shui principles are at work in our daily life. It’s what has attracted everyone from Donald Trump to all the Casino’s in Vegas, to Banks in New York City. They know that feng shui works. They know that these principles are repeatable and replicable.
How did you find Feng Shui?
I didn’t find feng shui as much as feng shui found me. I relocated to Los Angeles from New York and after my first year in L.A., I decided to “manifest” my dream apartment using a mantra that had been given to me by my Chiropractor. That mantra was “thank you for the perfect place for me and everyone else involved.”
I found my apartment within 24 hours, but it was slightly out of my price range. My chiropractor recommended me to a feng shui master. I called him twice and never heard back. She suggested that I call him one more time and he called me back saying that he had a cancellation in Hollywood on Thursday. He came to my house and I sat in an empty apartment and learned, over the next five hours, the basic principles, what to shop for and a bit of an immersion into the philosophy.
I was skeptical, relieved and curious all at once. I decided to do everything that felt good to me, grabbed a book that he recommended and set up my entire apartment according to the feng shui principles. I decided to give it my best shot and if things happened, I decided I would do more.
Within a few weeks, things started to shift for me (jobs, dating, even a check that came in from out of nowhere that seemed to cover all of my relocation expenses from the East Coast…and then some.) I was hooked. Pretty soon people started asking me about all of my recent success. I never anticipated that I would begin to do consultations. After two years of requests I relented and I have had an ever expanding word of mouth business ever since.
I recently sold a TV show to the SyFy channel based on my feng shui work and you should be able to see it in the fall of 2010.
How can Feng Shui help Blush readers?
Feng shui helps support people through different areas of their life, including:
- Relationships (manifesting a partner, healing, more passion/sex)
- Prosperity and Abundance (money drains, the two types of money challenges, upleveling your abundance)
- Career (jump starting your stagnant work life, manifesting more clients, switching career tracks)
- Health (insomnia, infertility, low energy)

I’m on the usual sites: Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn and I have my own site. You can probably find some tips and things on other sites like Lime.com or Soulgarden.TV if you do some digging.
I have been on two television shows: Million Dollar Listing on Bravo and Platinum Babies on the WE channel. I’ve been featured on a few radio shows and had my own podcast/interstitial series on Sirius 114 (Lime Radio) for almost 2 years. You can hear some of these podcasts on my site.
How can we work with you?
I can work with you in person, or virtually. I can come to your home, office or property and work with you in person. I have a two hour minimum for in person consulting. If you work with me virtually, you can sign up for a consultation in one hour increments.
How does a virtual consultation work?
Virtual consultations can happen over the phone, or via an online service such as Skype.
Send photos, videos, a blueprint or create a virtual floorplan.
Consult on one room, one floor or the whole building!
What Does a Consultation Consist Of?
There are 3 stages to a consultation. The check in, the walk through and the blessing.
The “check in” is where you tell me a bit about you and your goals…then I ask a few questions to glean a clearer picture. Then I would share some basic feng shui principles so that when I make my suggestions in the space it is clear WHY so that it is clear that I am not just saying “do this, do that” as if it is my opinion. You know? (This process can be as long as you want it to be. I usually follow the clients lead on this.)
The “walk through” is where we look at the space as a whole and I make suggestions that
A) you can do immediately
B)Â things that might take a short amount of time and
C) more intermediate and long term suggestions (so that you won’t be overwhelmed and feel that everything needs to be done at the same time.)
The “blessing” is (usually) where we might move some things around, hang some cures (things to balance the energy of the space) and at the end I perform a blessings to clear out old energies on a space and then welcome in some new energy. (If this is a virtual session I can do a remote blessing with you, or offer suggestions on how to perform the blessing yourself.)
An initial consultation on a one bedroom apartment is generally 2-3 hours.
What Are Your Rates?
$200/hour for in person consulting. There is a two hour minimum for in person services.
$150/hour for Virtual (phone/Skype) consulting.

I require a deposit (usually 1 hour, or $200) the remainder can be paid at the end of the consultation. Once I have received the deposit we will be confirmed.
